Philippines unveils USD 34 billion Masterplan to expand AI infrastructure by 2033

The Philippine government has released the final draft of the Philippines AI+ Infrastructure Masterplan (PAIIM) 2026-2033, outlining a USD 34.4 billion strategy to develop the nation into a regional hub for AI infrastructure. The masterplan requires USD 13.5 billion in public funding and USD 21 billion from private investment. Key targets include expanding AI data center capacity 30-fold from 50 megawatts to 1.5 gigawatts by 2033, with an initial 400-megawatt phase completed by 2030 to power an estimated 15
