MAIDEN, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Burke County man is facing multiple counts of property damage after investigators linked him to a series of incidents in Maiden.
Elliott Sylvester Braswell III was arrested and charged with five counts of Felonious Injury to Real Property, two counts of Misdemeanor Injury to Real Property, and six counts of Injury to Personal Property.
Beginning on July 22 and continuing through Sept. 3, Maiden Police received 13 separate reports of damage to business windows, residential windows, and vehicles along Main Street in Maiden believed to be caused by BB’s or Pellets from an air gun.
Investigators were able to identify Braswell as a suspect after connecting his vehicle to the incidents.
A search warrant was obtained for Braswell’s vehicle, and investigators discovered loose BBs, pellets, and CO2 cartridges inside.
Braswell is being held in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $91,000 bond.
