Cayuga County real estate: 10 most expensive homes sold, Jan. 6-12


A house in Owasco that sold for $999,900 tops the list of the most expensive residential real estate sales in Cayuga County in the past week.

In total, 26 residential real estate sales were recorded in the area during the past week, with an average price of $211,627. The average price per square foot was $141.

The prices in the list below concern real estate sales where the title was recorded during the week of Jan. 6 even if the property may have been sold earlier.

10. $220K, single-family home at 4646 State Route 41a

The sale of the single-family home at 4646 State Route 41a, Niles, has been finalized. The price was $220,000, and the house changed hands in December. The house was built in 1875 and has a living area of 1,443 square feet. The price per square foot was $152. The deal was finalized on Dec. 27.

9. $244K, single-family residence at 3121 E. Genesee Street Road

The property at 3121 E. Genesee Street Road in Sennett has new owners. The price was $243,500. The house was built in 1824 and has a living area of 2,793 square feet. The price per square foot is $87. The deal was finalized on Dec. 20.

8. $250K, single-family house at 427 Indian Cove Road

The property at 427 Indian Cove Road in Moravia has new owners. The price was $250,000. The house was built in 1951 and has a living area of 872 square feet. The price per square foot is $287. The deal was finalized on Jan. 4.

A sale has been finalized for the single-family home at 3868 State Route 38a in Niles. The price was $265,500 and the new owners took over the house in January. The house was built in 2000 and the living area totals 1,508 square feet. The price per square foot ended up at $176. The deal was finalized on Jan. 5.
