Estate Traded Value in Oman Reaches RO 1.7 Billion by End of July 2026Muscat, 14 Sep 2026 (ONA) — The traded value of real estate in the Sultanate
of Oman increased by 7.7% by the end of July 2026 to reach RO 1,715.7 million,
compared with RO 1,593.0 million during the corresponding period of 2025,
according to statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and
Information (NCSI).

The statistics showed that the traded value of sales contracts increased by
15.7% to reach RO 843.2 million, compared with RO 728.5 million during the
corresponding period of 2025. The number of sales contracts also increased by
3.9% to 39,719 contracts, compared with 38,226 contracts.

The traded value of mortgage contracts also increased by 0.7% to reach RO 864.4
million, compared with RO 858.4 million during the corresponding period of
2025, while the number of mortgage contracts rose by 22.3% to 15,441 contracts,
compared with 12,621 contracts.

The statistics also showed that the traded value of swap contracts increased by
33.6% to reach RO 8.2 million by the end of July 2026, compared with RO 6.1
million during the corresponding period of 2025. Meanwhile, the number of swap
contracts declined by 41.6% to 411 contracts, compared with 704 contracts.

In terms of real estate ownership, the number of title deeds issued declined by
10.7% to 119,832 by the end of July 2026, compared with 134,206 during the
corresponding period of 2025.

The number of title deeds issued to citizens of GCC countries also declined by
11.2% to 643, compared with 724.
