Three Melbourne mansions, including the home of Helloworld Travel chief executive Andrew Burnes in bayside Brighton, have all sold for more than $10 million each in a single week as upsizers go bargain hunting at the top end amid the property downturn.
Between September 13 and 19, three properties in the city’s south-east and bayside area all changed hands in quick succession to separate trophy home buyers. Despite relatively few options in the lux market, prices in the top quarter of the market have fallen more than 12 per cent since the peak in November 2021.
