Two arrests after man stabbed in leg at a Bulwell property


Two suspects have been arrested after a man was stabbed in the back of his leg in Bulwell.

Police were called to an address in Highbury Road after it was reported a man had been attacked inside the property shortly before 1am this morning (29 April).

A man in his 40s was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is not believed to be life-altering or life-threatening.

A 64-year-old man and a woman, aged 34, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

Detective Chief Inspector Claire Gould, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This was an isolated incident involving persons known to each other and I am pleased two suspects were swiftly arrested.

“The use of knives and any weapons is reckless and will not be tolerated, and can have tragic consequences, not only for the victim and their family but also for the offenders involved. 

“There is no place for violent crime in our communities and so we will continue to be relentless in our approach to targeting and pursuing those involved in such incidents.”
