CRJ achieve FORS Silver fleet accreditation

Recognition highlights company’s commitment to safety, sustainability and continuous improvement

CRJ Services have achieved FORS Silver accreditation, marking another step in the company’s ongoing focus on raising standards across their fleet operations, safety and sustainability.

The accreditation, awarded through the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS), is widely recognized across the UK transport and logistics sector as a benchmark for best practice. Sitting above the entry-level Bronze standard, FORS Silver reflects a more advanced, proactive approach in which businesses not only meet requirements but also continuously improve their operations.

For CRJ, the milestone builds on a broader shift towards more structured, data-led fleet management. As industry expectations continue to evolve, particularly regarding safety and environmental performance, accreditations such as FORS are becoming increasingly important, not only for compliance but also for maintaining credibility across major projects and contracts.

To achieve Silver status, operators must demonstrate progress across key areas, including vehicle safety, driver training, fuel efficiency, and emissions monitoring, and show alignment with recognised frameworks such as CLOCS and Work-Related Road Risk (WRRR).

Within CRJ, this has led to a more integrated approach to fleet performance. Additional safety systems have been introduced to better protect vulnerable road users, while ongoing driver development supports consistent operating standards. Greater emphasis has also been placed on performance data, with insights into fuel consumption and emissions informing decision-making and driving continuous improvement.

Unlike entry-level accreditations, FORS Silver requires ongoing monitoring and annual audits, reinforcing long-term accountability rather than a one-off achievement. This reflects a wider industry shift towards greater transparency and continuous progress in fleet management.

For customers and partners, the accreditation provides reassurance that fleet operations are managed with a clear focus on safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility. The achievement also supports CRJ’s broader sustainability strategy, as the company continues to explore opportunities to reduce emissions and improve operational efficiency in response to increasing industry expectations.
