At risk of stating the obvious: dressing for the summer should be fun. Outfits and accessories should imbue one’s appearance with a carefree ease. In the warmer months, there is also a little bit more opportunity to experiment with playful adornment and whimsical pieces that liven up a look. With that in mind, beaded jewelry is just about the best possible way to give a look some texture, color, and pizzaz—and maybe even a wink that it’s not that serious. Take Michael Rider’s Celine Spring 2026 collection, which paired the classic sportswear, for which the right bank Parisian maison is known, with piles of beaded necklaces in every color under the rainbow, dangling beaded threaders, and bracelets wrapped well up the models’ arms. The perfect complement to a seasonal look, and one which doesn’t have to be worn exclusively to the beach.
And then there was the runway at Chanel, where Matthieu Blazy wrapped delicate beaded crystal lariats and collars around models’ necks to embellish his take on the house codes.
