The Best Beaded Jewelry for Summer 2026: How to Wear the Trend

At risk of stating the obvious: dressing for the summer should be fun. Outfits and accessories should imbue one’s appearance with a carefree ease. In the warmer months, there is also a little bit more opportunity to experiment with playful adornment and whimsical pieces that liven up a look. With that in mind, beaded jewelry is just about the best possible way to give a look some texture, color, and pizzaz—and maybe even a wink that it’s not that serious. (This applies to bags and even, shoes by the way.)

Take Michael Rider’s Celine Spring 2026 collection, which paired the classic sportswear, for which the right bank Parisian maison is known, with piles of beaded necklaces in every color under the rainbow, dangling beaded threaders, and bracelets wrapped well up the models’ arms. The perfect complement to a seasonal look, and one which doesn’t have to be worn exclusively to the beach.

And then there was the runway at Chanel, where Matthieu Blazy wrapped delicate beaded crystal lariats and collars around models’ necks to embellish his take on the house codes.

Off the runways, there’s a number of ways to wear beaded jewelry, from color and stone to length and variety of proportion. There’s really no wrong way to do it. Here, some of our favorite ways to wear beaded baubles, just in time for summer.

The Necklace

Whether a string of semi-precious stones, an interplay of bright layered collars, or earthy beads complemented by shell details, the beaded necklace is the easiest way to add a colorful focal point that draws the eye upward, weather worn with a t-shirt or a sundress.

Long Strands, Lariats, and Tassels

Long strands of beads, lariats, and tassel adornments add extra texture and a play with proportions, all while maintaining a visual line. Talk about the easiest way to add a little oomph to your outfit.

Bracelets

If a statement necklace isn’t for you, might I suggest reviving the arm party? Nothing could be cooler than a stack of beads in varying shapes and tones—but a single strand is just as chic, plain, and simple.

Earrings

Beaded earrings have come a long way. These days, you could add some serious edge with an asymmetrical pairing, emphasize a swan like neck with a pair of long dangling beads, or just keep things simple with a pop of color close to the lobes.
