US Tests Uncrewed Combat Jets While UK-Italy-Japan GCAP Fighter Stays Crewed but Built to Team With Drones
The US Air Force is testing two uncrewed combat jet prototypes, the YFQ-42A and YFQ-44A, while the UK, Italy and Japan develop the crewed GCAP fighter, planned for service from 2035, to team with uncrewed aircraft.
