Haroon Bhatti, owner and managing director of Capital Business Brokerage in Farmington Hills, has been recognized by the International Business Brokers Association with the 2025 Platinum Chairman’s Circle Award, one of the organization’s top national performance honors for business brokerage professionals.
The recognition follows a strong year for Capital Business Brokerage, which completed more than $70 million in transaction volume during 2025. The award reflects both Bhatti’s individual leadership and the firm’s growing role as a Michigan-based business brokerage and M&A advisory firm serving Main Street, growing, and lower-middle-market business owners.
“This recognition means a great deal because every successful transaction represents much more than a closing,” Bhatti says. “Behind every business sale is an owner, a family, employees, customers, and years of sacrifice. Our responsibility is to help business owners navigate that transition with strategy, confidentiality, preparation, and care.”
Capital Business Brokerage’s roots go back to 2000. The firm has built its practice around helping owners sell businesses confidentially and professionally, while protecting business value and preserving negotiating leverage. Its process emphasizes preparation, realistic valuation, serious buyer screening, lender coordination, transaction structure, and disciplined execution from the first consultation through closing.
Bhatti holds an MBA and a Master of Science in Finance from Walsh College, giving him a finance-driven perspective on valuation, buyer behavior, lender expectations, risk, return, and deal structure. His work focuses on giving privately held business owners access to sophisticated advisory guidance while maintaining the direct, relationship-driven service that owner-operated companies need.
In addition to leading Capital Business Brokerage, Bhatti serves on the Walsh College Board of Trustees and serves on the board of the Michigan Business Brokers Association. Through these roles, he contributes to both business education and the continued professional development of the business brokerage industry in Michigan.
“For many owners, selling a business is one of the most important financial and personal decisions they will ever make,” Bhatti says. “It is not just about finding a buyer. It is about protecting confidentiality, positioning the business properly, creating leverage, managing diligence, and helping the owner move forward with confidence.”
