Pride night parade illuminates downtown Providence

- Rhode Island Spirits has released a special edition vodka called Rhodium X RI Pride Vodka.
- The vodka commemorates the 50th anniversary of Rhode Island Pride and the first march in 1976.
- A portion of the proceeds from each bottle will be donated to support RI PrideFest.
Rhodium X RI Pride Vodka, a special edition vodka created by Pawtucket’s Rhode Island Spirits, commemorates the 50th anniversary of Rhode Island Pride and celebrates community, visibility and advocacy in the state.
The collaboration was developed in partnership with Rhode Island Pride and the Providence Tourism Council as part of the 2026 Pride celebration theme, “We Are the People.” The limited-edition release honors the first LGBTQIA+ Pride march in Providence in 1976, and will be available for a limited time.
You can reserve a bottle, for $32, online at rhodeislandspirits.com and pick up at the distillery at 40 Bayley St., Pawtucket. It’s also available in person at the Rhodium Green Room pop-up bar at the Pawtucket Guild Beer Hall, 461 Main St., in Pawtucket.
Sales of Rhodium X RI Pride Vodka support the future of PrideFest in Rhode Island, with a portion of proceeds from every bottle donated to the nonprofit Rhode Island Pride.
“As we prepare for our 50th anniversary celebration, donations help cover the real costs of producing PrideFest and the Illuminated Night Parade,” said Rodney Davis, president of Rhode Island Pride.
Rhode Island Spirits is New England’s first queer-owned distillery. Co-founder Cathy Plourde said, “Opening an unapologetically and visibly queer business was a bold choice. None of us can or should do it alone, and we stand on the shoulders of those who boldly went before us.”
Rhodium X RI Pride Vodka is also available through distributor Southern Glazer’s for bars and retail stores throughout Rhode Island.
