International gold and silver prices both advanced on Thursday, supported by a weaker U.S. dollar.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold futures for August delivery rose 1.89 percent to settle at 4,532.40 U.S. dollars per ounce, while silver futures for July delivery gained 1.36 percent to close at 75.912 dollars per ounce.

European stocks ended lower across the board on Thursday.
The benchmark FTSE 100 Index in London fell 0.75 percent to close at 10,425.96 points. France’s CAC 40 index dropped 0.23 percent to finish at 8,188.87 points. Germany’s DAX index declined 0.34 percent to end the session at 25,092.25 points.
