SILVER MANHATTAN Extends Through May At Bowery Palace

Silver Manhattan, written by Jesse Malin and Lauren Ludwig, has announced a final extension through May 10 at the Bowery Palace. The production is currently running five nights a week in the 100-seat venue located at 327 Bowery.

The 90-minute piece combines live music and storytelling, with Malin performing alongside his band. The work follows a coming-of-age narrative centered on a young artist navigating life in New York City, drawing on Malin’s own experiences growing up in the Bowery and building a career in music.

The production arrives following Malin’s 2023 spinal stroke, which left him paralyzed from the waist down. Silver Manhattan reflects his return to the stage and ongoing recovery, incorporating themes of resilience, community, and artistic identity.

Directed by Ellie Heyman, the production is produced by ArKtype / Tommy Kriegsmann and David Bason, with music direction by Tony-nominated Justin Craig and Derek Cruz. The creative team also includes lighting design by Brian Scott, sound design by Angela Baughman, and set design by Marsha Ginsberg and Krit Robinson.

Special guests frequently appear during the show’s encore, with recent performances featuring artists including Butch Walker, Adam Weiner, John Gallagher Jr., Lenny Kaye, and The Hold Steady.

Performance times vary, with shows generally scheduled Wednesday through Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
