Samson Mow: Bitcoin whitepaper anniversary highlights peer-to-peer electronic cash origins

The anniversary of the Bitcoin whitepaper marks eighteen years since an anonymous cypherpunk introduced a nine-page solution to the double-spending problem without the need for banks or trusted third parties.

Samson Mow described the Bitcoin whitepaper as launching peer-to-peer electronic cash with a fixed supply and Proof of Work, and expressed thanks to Bitcoin creator Satoshi.

Samson Mow has previously provided updates on technical developments within the Bitcoin ecosystem. He reported that a 2.5 BTC test transaction reduced the Liquid Federation wallet shortfall to 600 BTC. Earlier, Mow noted that efforts to restore the Liquid BTC peg involved both an external audit and coordination by Blockstream.
