Avance Investment Management appointed Carl Stanton as Senior Partner as the private equity firm expands its focus on industrial services businesses.
Stanton brings approximately three decades of private equity and alternative asset management experience.
He has co-led three private equity investment organizations and has experience investing across industrial products and services, business services, and consumer businesses.
Stanton previously served as Managing Partner and Head of Private Equity at Invesco Private Capital.
He was also a Partner at Focus Impact Partners and Managing Partner of Wellspring Capital Management.
Stanton has worked with Avance since 2025 as a Senior Advisor.
His work with the firm has included Avance’s investment in Lexxel, a provider of specialty maintenance and repair services for critical infrastructure.
Stanton serves as Chairman of Lexxel’s Board of Directors.
Avance said the appointment supports its increasing activity in industrial services.
The firm’s existing investments in the sector also include Opifex-Synergy, which has grown into one of the largest independent equipment rental companies in the U.S.
Avance sees long-term demand across industrial services driven by electrification, reindustrialization, infrastructure renewal, and the need for skilled tradespeople, engineers, and other specialists.
The firm primarily invests in founder-owned middle-market companies across business services, industrial services, and consumer sectors.
