New Delhi: Delhi Police is probing the personal enmity angle in the murder of a woman and her 13-year-old son in southeast Delhi’s Govindpuri on Thursday.Investigators suspect the killers were known to the victims as both were stabbed multiple times, indicating the attack might have been driven by deep-seated anger. Police have detained a person known to the family for questioning.Police also noted the absence of any sign of forced entry. “We suspect the accused entered through the main gate without any difficulty. He is believed to have spent a few minutes sitting on the sofa before attacking them in the kitchen,” a source said. The woman’s husband has been examined. Police are also probing a possible property dispute angle. While family members alleged that valuables worth Rs 30-40 lakh were missing, police have said the actual amount appeared to be around Rs 5 lakh in cash and jewellery worth approximately Rs 15 lakh. “The woman’s purse, lying close to the spot, still had Rs 90,000,” an officer said.
