Rocket Appoints New CEO for Real Estate Platform Redfin


Rocket Companies, a mortgage, real estate and personal finance conglomerate, announced a new executive appointment to one of its portfolio businesses. Alessio Sanfilippo will take over the position of chief executive officer at Redfin, a real estate company that operates a brokerage website. 

Sanfilippo brings two decades of experience in areas including product, data, analytics and technology to Redfin. Prior to joining, he served as vice president of insights for Reality Labs at Meta, where he helped grow the company’s market for its AI-enabled wearable glasses. His professional history also includes leadership roles at at Intuit, SAP, GoSeek, Hotwire and United Airlines.

“Millions of people begin thinking about homeownership on Redfin, often months before they ever talk to a lender,” Varun Krishna, CEO of Rocket Companies, said in a statement. “I worked with Alessio at Intuit and saw firsthand how he combines deep analytical thinking with a real instinct for the consumer. He has spent his career using data and technology to make complex products work better for enormous audiences. Now he gets to bring that experience to Redfin and help us connect home search, brokerage, mortgage, closing and servicing into one experience.”
