Cartier, the manufacture of shapes flexed their muscles in this year’s WWG26 releases. We picked 4 our favourites as the highlights.
Santos with chronograph, a watch which existed in the extra large, now released in large. Available in steel, yellow gold and steel and yellow gold at EUR 12k, EUR 15k and EUR 60k respectively. The movement is the same as the previous XL version, which has been discontinued about 1.5 years ago.

Also new is a Santos-Dumont with a magnificent gold bracelet. Very thin and pliable. In three references, yellow gold with two dial variants in a sunray metal dial and the other in a obsidian dial (no live pic) and in platinum. Prices are EUR 40.4k, EUR 42.4k and EUR 50.5k

A new version of the Cartier Crash in the Prive collection. The collection is refreshed with the Totue Monopusher Chronograph, Tank Normale and Crash were also shown. Our pick is the Crash. Executed in platinum, with a new movement C/1967MC, which is skeletonised with the bridges forming roman numerals, and the rest of the dial is hand hammered using a nail like tool and punched with a hammer by an artisan. Absolutely stunning EUR 97k, LE 150 pieces.

There is a new yellow gold Cloche in 37 x 28.6mm in the original size in the historical model with the dial inspired by the 1922 Cloche. The watch has a closed back. but the shape is the same amazing bell shape as previously, and rather small on the wrist.
