Neil Hodgson has claimed that Marc Marquez is ‘done’ in the MotoGP title race while stating that Marco Bezzecchi will be ‘concerned’ about Jorge Martin.
On Saturday, the French Grand Prix Sprint at Le Mans was won by Aprilia rider Jorge Martin, ahead of Francesco Bagnaia and Bezzecchi.
During the race, there were multiple accidents, with riders such as Franco Morbidelli, Enea Bastianini and Jonas Folger all crashing out.
However, the biggest crash of the Sprint involved seven-time champion Marquez, who highsided at Turn 13 while trying to stay on the back of Honda’s Luca Marini.
After the session, it was confirmed that Marquez will undergo surgery to solve his shoulder and foot problems. He will miss the remainder of the French Grand Prix weekend and next week’s race in Barcelona.

Neil Hodgson thinks Marc Marquez is ‘done’ in the MotoGP title fight
Speaking after the Sprint, TNT Sports commentator Hodgson claimed that Bezzecchi will be concerned about Martin, who is now only six points behind in the standings.
Meanwhile, Hodgson also stated that Marquez has no chance of winning the 2026 MotoGP title after his massive crash.
Hodgson said: “Do you know what? He will be starting to get concerned, I’d say. Because now, you’re not thinking about Marc Marquez, we keep saying it’s between him and Marc Marquez.
“It’s not now, Marc’s done, I’d say for the season, as in, in the championship.”

Sylvain Guintoli says Marc Marquez’s crash at Le Mans was ‘worrying’
Delivering his views on the Marquez crash, Guintoli stated that although the Spaniard has a strong body, the amount of hits he is taking will eventually take a toll on him.
Guintoli said: “It is worrying because it all adds up. When you get the bill, and you’ve had that many additions to it, it is costly.
“The problem with Marc is, the way he rides and the way he is on the limit, when it does go, it normally goes big. I know his body is strong, but he is taking so many hits, and he’s got old injuries, and he keeps smashing them.”
