The highly anticipated revival of the acclaimed musical Jesus Christ Superstar has arrived at the London Palladium. First seen at Regent’s Park’s Open Air Theatre a decade ago to critical acclaim, the musical will play the London Palladium until 5 September, before transferring to Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Following the conclusion of its West End runs, Jesus Christ Superstar will also head out on tour across the UK.

Eurovision star Sam Ryder leads the cast as Jesus, alongside Tyrone Huntley (Hello, Dolly!) as Judas Iscariot, Desmonda Cathabel (Hadestown) as Mary Magdalene and Olivier Award winner David Thaxton (Sunset Boulevard) as Pontius Pilate.

Guest stars will step into the role of King Herod over the course of the run.

The rock opera from Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber follows the last days of Christ’s life, told through the eyes of his disillusioned follower Judas Iscariot.
