Kutak Rock Serves as Special Tax Counsel & Disclosure Counsel for OKC Thunder Continental Coliseum Project

Kutak Rock serves as Special Tax Counsel and Disclosure Counsel in connection with the issuance of $777,150,000 Oklahoma City Public Property Authority (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) Arena Sales Tax Revenue Bonds, Series 2026. On December 12, 2023, Oklahoma City voters approved a temporary 72-month, one percent sales tax to fund a portion of the construction of a new downtown arena to be owned by the City, along with all necessary or ancillary facilities and related costs, ensuring the City remains the home of the Oklahoma City Thunder (2025 National Basketball Association (NBA) National Champions) beyond 2050. The proceeds received from the sale of the Series 2026 Bonds will be used to (i) finance a portion of the costs of the Arena Project, (ii) fund Capitalized Interest and (iii) pay the costs of issuance of the Series 2026 Bonds.

Fred Marienthal, Justin Reppe, Larry Carlile, and Shawn Willette worked on this financing.
