Poland will introduce border checkpoints to the list of critical infrastructure so that aid will arrive without delays; the countries’ governments will meet on March 28.

Poland has opened the largest cargo checkpoint on the border with Ukraine, but two more countries have begun blockades.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that in a few hours, the checkpoints on the border with Ukraine will be added to the list of critical infrastructure objects. “To provide a 100% guarantee that military aid, equipment, ammunition, humanitarian and medical aid will reach the Ukrainian side without delay, we will include checkpoints with Ukraine and the specified sections of roads and railway tracks in the list of critical infrastructure,” Tusk said. The recent blockade has prevented not only trucks with agricultural products and other commercial goods but also some military supplies from crossing the Polish border. However, the Polish prime minister rejected President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s offer to meet at the border. At the same time, he announced that on March 28, a meeting of Polish and Ukrainian government officials will be held in Warsaw to resolve the problem of border blockages.
